Форум «Практические аспекты диагностики, лечения и профилактики актуальных болезней»
On June 25–26, 2026, the Volga Federal District Preventive Medicine Forum (hereinafter referred to as the Forum) was held in Nizhny Novgorod at the Marins Nizhny Novgorod Hotel Congress Center. The Forum focused on current aspects of the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of infectious diseases.
The Institute was one of the event's organizers. The Forum was held in person with an online broadcast to the Volga Federal District and other regions of Russia. A total of 711 participants attended the event: 285 in person and 426 online.
The Forum included a number of significant events:

- NASKI Interregional Scientific and Practical Conference "Regional Features of Ensuring Epidemiological Safety of Medical Activities and Organizing Immunoprophylaxis in the Volga Federal District" (hereinafter referred to as the Conference);
- Meeting of Chief Freelance Epidemiologists of the Volga Federal District.
June 26, 2026
- Meeting of the Journal Club of the Institute of Preventive Medicine.
Institute staff participated in the Forum. Two papers were presented at the Conference:
- Molecular Genetic Studies in Epidemiological Surveillance of Enterovirus Infections (presented by L.N. Golitsyna, PhD, Leading Researcher, Laboratory of Molecular Epidemiology of Viral Infections, Head of the Reference Center for Monitoring Enterovirus Infections);
- Medical Examination of the Population of the Volga Federal District for HIV Infection: Coverage and Detectability Among Different Test Groups in 2025 (presented by E.E. Kuzovatova, PhD, Associate Professor, Head of Infectious Diseases at the Volga District Center for AIDS Prevention and Control).
The Director of the Institute, N.N. Zaitseva, MD, Associate Professor, served as a member of the event's presidium and chaired the second session of the Conference.
The event became an important platform for the exchange of knowledge, experience, and professional competencies between healthcare providers and Rospotrebnadzor staff, as well as for mutually beneficial collaboration between specialists from medical research institutions and practitioners in the Volga Federal District, including through the Institute's Scientific and Methodological Center for Monitoring Pathogens of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases of Groups II–IV Pathogenicity in the Volga Federal District.
The Forum will result in strengthened joint efforts to improve epidemiological surveillance, control, and prevention of infectious diseases in the Volga Federal District.
