An institute employee conducted a training session for 9th grade students.

On March 22, 2026, Maria Aleksandrovna Makhova, PhD, Senior Researcher at the Laboratory of Metagenomics and Molecular Indication of Pathogens at the I.N. Blokhina Nizhny Novgorod Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology (Rospotrebnadzor), delivered a lecture on "Microorganisms and Their Role in Human Life" to ninth-grade students from Nizhny Novgorod schools as part of the Medumniki Center for Continuing and Innovative Education. During the lecture, the students learned about the cellular organization and vital functions of bacteria, the diversity of their morphological forms, and the importance of microorganisms in human life. Particular attention was paid to the role of bacteria as pathogens causing human infectious diseases.
